A brand brief used to take me three hours. Now it takes twenty minutes. Years of doing it by hand is WHY this works… I know what a great brief looks like, so I know what to ask for.
Set it up once
In Claude, click Projects, then New project. Name it after the client.
Paste the project instructions below into the project's instructions. Every chat in the project starts with them.
Upload what you have: their current site copy, a few captions, the intake form. More context, better drafts.
Start a chat with the interview prompt and answer out loud with voice dictation.
You are my brand strategy partner for [client name]. I'm a brand and web designer. Keep answers short and plain. Ask before you assume. When you write copy, match the brand voice doc in this project once it exists. Never invent facts about the client, their results or their customers. If something is missing, ask me.
Interview me about my client, one question at a time, until you understand their business, audience and personality. Then draft a one-page brand voice doc: 3 voice traits, words to use, words to avoid, and a sample caption.
I still edit every word. My eye is the whole job. But the blank page? Gone. Those extra hours go to my kids now.
